Dubai is famous for many things and one of the events to not miss is the horse racing event. This evening I decided to take my first shot at capturing this sport. Getting there and absorbing the atmosphere I realized that it's more than just a sport and an exhilarating thrill - its a way of life.

The arena was full of life, color, excitement and nervousness. The horses were on parade along with their owners and jockey's in the brightly lit presentation ring before the race.

A few tips on framing photographs of horses are:

1. Don't cutoff the the horses ears.

2. Try and always get the legs of the horses in the frame.

3. If the jockey is mounted on the horse don't cut him off.

Using a 600mm with an f stop of f/5 and shutter of 1/800 sec I was amazed at what I could capture. Wouldn't you say so too?
